Abstract

Historical aspects and general concepts regarding the oncodevelopmental proteins are reviewed together with a review of the specific proteins studied. Radioimmunoassays for hPL, hCG and AFP are described together with studies of the assay parameters. The methods were shown to be suitable for use in this thesis. General concepts of enzyme-immunoassays are described. A previously described ELISA for SP.
