Abstract

This work is divided into three parts. The results obtained from the first two parts were almost entirely negative and they have been treated more briefly than the third part, which describes the action of amines on 2-substituted semicarbazones. The investigations are described, however, in the order in which they were carried out, as otherwise the connection between the different sections would not be obvious. It was resolved to investigate the reactions of 2-substituted semicarbazones with various amines and possibly to obtain another optically active semicarbazide. These investigations constitute the third and most important part of the work.
