Abstract

This thesis is devoted to the problem of the therapy and prognosis of syphilis in the pregnant woman. The work was carried out in the maternity wards of the North Evington Infirmary, Leicester; unless otherwise stated, the cases were under my personal care. Many other cases of syphilis in non-pregnant women, under treatment, were used as controls.
