Abstract

The phenomenon of choking or mass limiting flows of two-phase mixtures is well known. The particular case of choking two-phase flow in which mass transfer takes place between phases is designated two-phase critical flashing flow, and has been the subject of many theoretical and experimental investigations. In this work, experimental and theoretical studies are described for critical flashing flows of water at temperatures between 120
